Team

An interdisciplinary research group connecting electromagnetics, plasma science, and experimental engineering.

Abbas Semnani, Ph.D.

Principal Investigator

Abbas Semnani, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Toledo and the founder and director of ARPL. His research connects applied electromagnetics, cold plasma physics, and engineered materials to advance adaptive antennas, reconfigurable RF electronics, high-power microwave technologies, and resonant plasma sources.

His recognitions include the NSF CAREER Award (2024), NASA Glenn Faculty Fellowships (2022 and 2023), and the IEEE MTT-S Tatsuo Itoh Award (2019).
